Rob and Terry are close friends. They’ve been housemates for 37 years, living in one of our supported living services for people with learning disabilities.

Music and dancing are two of their biggest passions. They enjoy going to discos and take part in a weekly singing group.

They also love going to the theatre. Rob recently fulfilled a long-held ambition by going to see Mamma Mia the musical, accompanied by one of his support workers. Rob is a huge fan of the Mamma Mia movie, so he was delighted to have the opportunity to see the live show, and he loved every minute of it. He especially enjoyed dancing and singing along to his favourite song ‘Lay all your love on me’. Rob bought a T-shirt to remember the day by.

Another wish that Rob had for a long time was one that he shared with Terry. They wanted to see the Mrs. Brown’s Boys live show. An opportunity came up to see the show in Cardiff and so they grabbed the chance. It was a really joyful occasion for Rob and Terry. They bought lots of merchandise, including mugs, T-shirts, DVDs, tea towels and even a wooden spoon.

Rob and Terry have a great relationship with their staff team, who are committed to supporting them to achieve their goals. When an unexpected issue meant that no one was available to take Rob and Terry to the Mrs Brown’s Boys live show, another staff member, who had not been scheduled to work that day, agreed to step in. Travelling to Cardiff meant that it would be a long day, but they couldn’t bear the thought of Rob and Terry missing out on something they’d been looking forward to so much.

Rob and Terry are always on the look-out for more fun shows to go to. They both also have holidays planned for the autumn. With the support of their dedicated staff team, they plan to continue living their best lives.
